<h2> Lancers Love Reading</h2>

To celebrate the birthday of Dr. Seuss, the Loma Linda students and staff celebrated a week of reading. Teachers dressed up as their favorite book characters, students and teachers wore funky socks on Wednesday, ASU football players volunteered their time to read to students, teachers had students buddy up for reading throughout the week and students and teachers had fun wearing their pajamas to school on Friday.

<h2>VGO Promotes Students' and Teachers' Learning</h2>

VGO is a new mobile technology that allows individuals to see, hear, speak, as well as move about a remote site using a 4 foot robot, called VGO. With VGO, an individual has the unique capability of interacting with people at another location, no matter how far away. VGO spent time in two of our sixth grade classrooms, while district leadership observed and interacted and learned from our teachers and students at another school in the district.

<h2>Loma Linda Supports Playworks</h2>

Playworks has become an integral part of our Loma Linda community. To show support for the Playworks program, three of Loma Linda's fifth grade teachers, Ms. Hibert, Ms. Hobson and Ms. Mosier ran in the PF Changs Rock and Roll Marathon. Additionally, the Loma Linda teachers, students and community showed their support of Playworks and Coach Kari by participating in a fun evening at McDonalds. All proceeds raised from the marathon and McDonalds Night went to support Playworks at Loma Linda for next school year.
